#239:  His Last Time With Dad (Click)

Instructions:  Listen to the youtube video above and fill in the blanks in the transcript below (or write your answers on a piece of paper). Beginners can use the list of missing words and phrases, but if you're an advanced student, try to fill in the blanks just by listening to the video, without looking at the missing words and phrases.  The answers are given at the end of the lesson.

Main Features:  The word "you" can have six different sounds = you, chu, ju; ya, cha, ja.  You'll here the sound "ya" 5 times, for example, the sentence "I'll see you later" sounds like "See ya later."  You'll also hear the sound "chu" ("don't you" sounds like "don't chu" and "won't you" sounds like "won't chu") and the sound "ju" ("did you" sounds like "did ju" and "would you" sounds like "would ju").  Note that "chu" comes after a "t" (don't chu, won't chu), but "ju" comes after a "d" (did ju, would ju).

Missing Words and Phrases (9):  did you [did ju]; don't you want to [don't chu wanna]; would you [would ju] (2 times); you [ya] (5 times).

Plot:  In the movie "Click", a workaholic architect meets an inventor who gives him a remote control device that allows him to fast-forward and rewind to different parts of his life.  In this scene he goes back to a time when he's sitting behind a desk at work.  His son comes into the room, then his dad.  He doesn't treat them well and later regrets it because it's the last time he saw his father.
