Last week I had a fantastic experience I wish every body can do;visiting the Pyramids Zone in Egypt..

A maizing trip.. You cant imagine how charming to stand in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the World , The Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx that large lion-human-faced statue which is one of the most famous monuments in the whole world.

i wont talk so much, i will let the photos tell you what words fail to describe....

but first let me tell you some information about the pyramids:

The Egyptian pyramids are ancient pyramid-shaped masonry structures located in Egypt. There are 138 pyramids discovered in Egypt as of 2008. Most were built as tombs for the country's Pharaohs ( the ancient Egyptians ) and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods. The earliest known Egyptian pyramids are found at Saqqara ( an area near Cairo, the capital of Egypt ), northwest of Memphis( the old name of Cairo ). The earliest among these is the Pyramid of Djoser (constructed 2630 BCE–2611 BCE) which was built during the third dynasty. This pyramid and its surrounding complex were designed by the architect Imhotep, and are generally considered to be the world's oldest monumental structures constructed of dressed masonry. The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built.

The Pyramid of Khufu at Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence.

the Sphinx

Legends have been told for many years about the Great Sphinx. These stories tell about the powers and mysteries of this sphinx. Some people even believe that there are hidden passageways or rooms underneath the Great Sphinx, but nothing has been found yet.
The beginning of one story about the Great Sphinx is written on a stele between the sphinx's paws.
The story reads that one day, a young prince fell asleep next to the Great Sphinx. He had been hunting all day, and was very tired. He dreamt that the Great Sphinx promised that he would become the ruler of Upper and Lower Egypt if he cleared away the sand covering its body (the Great Sphinx was covered up to its neck).
The rest of the story is gone, so you will have to use your imagination to work out the ending. This stele was put up by the pharaoh Thutmosis IV who lived around 1400 B.C.
