Angels are everywhere in history. Whether it’s Cupid pointing his heart-shaped arrows at two people to make them fall in love, a group of angels in the Bible telling shepherds that Jesus was born, stone statues in the ancient world, or simply a supernatural being with wings wearing a white robe and playing music, it’s clear that angels have been part of human belief for a long time.

Sometimes religion affects whether a person believes in unexplained phenomena. For example, Christians believe in angels, both good ones and bad ones. However, people who don’t believe in God usually want everything to have a scientific basis. Others say it’s simply a matter of faith. If you believe in angels, maybe you also believe in aliens and yetis.

Learn who is uncomfortable with the supernatural world in this English lesson about faith.

Rafael:  So I’ve been thinking a lot about religion.

Lily:  Yeah?

Rafael:  I don’t know. Have you ever encountered an angel?

Lily:  No.

Rafael:  Or maybe not an angel but something supernatural, some sort of phenomena. I don’t know, I just feel like I see things sometimes.

Lily:  I have a hard time believing in that sort of thing because, generally, if it’s unexplained, that just means that there’s no scientific basis for it, and that kind of makes me uncomfortable.

Rafael:  Right. Well, maybe it’s not so much whether it’s unexplained, but you can find basis for things in religion. Or if not in religion, in spirituality. It doesn’t have to be a system.

Lily:  So do you believe in lots of supernatural things? So, you believe in angels. Do you believe in yetis and aliens, too?

Rafael:  You know what? You don’t have to make fun of me, OK?

Lily:  I’m not making fun of you! I’m actually curious because it’s really interesting to me that you have faith in these things.

Rafael:  That’s well said. I do have faith. And maybe you should have some faith, too.

Rafael’s been thinking a lot about the supernatural world, and he asks Lily to share her opinion about angels. Lily has never seen an angel, and she doesn’t actually believe they exist.

Rafael’s more open to the idea of things that are unexplained. He has faith that there are some things humans can’t understand.

For Lily, anything that cannot be tested by science just doesn’t exist. She’s curious about what Rafael believes, though. She asks him if he believes in other creatures, but Rafael thinks Lily is trying to make fun of him.

It’s clear that the two have very different beliefs.

Do you believe in angels or other supernatural phenomena? What things do you think science can’t prove?

Well, I do believe in Angels, but bad angels: NO WAY!!!. and I believe there might be other existence which we don’t know about them.I believe Quran had declared these things and made it crystal clear that such things could definitely happen by God will.

there are so much things wich can’t be explained by science, but is that means they are unreal or is that means our science is not compelete?

I definitely believe in angels and supernatural things. The spiritual world is even more realistic than the material world. And science cannot prove this kind of things, it is an issue of faith!

I didn’t know Lily was so faithless! There are things that humans can’t explain. They’ll die trying to find a scientific basis… Do you really believe you live a whole life until the end just to turn into nothing after all this? I don’t…
