A glowing, warm fireplace is often a symbol of happiness and peace. But in order for there to be a fire, somebody has to make it. Traditionally, after the fire was lit, a person stoked the flames by adding small pieces of wood and paper to make it grow bigger.

Today, we use the expression stoked when we talk about being warm and happy. The softball team that just won its championship game is definitely stoked. The man who got hired to his dream job is also stoked. Whenever you have good news or are looking forward to something, you’re stoked.

When actress Katherine Heigl started her career in film, she starred in a lot of romantic comedies. She enjoyed that type of movie and said she was stoked to be doing them.

What are you stoked about? What has made you especially happy in life?

“Dude, are you stoked about the game tonight? I can’t wait to play. I know we’re going to win!”

Abdulhalim hasan, agree completely! When I‘ve got a job in a great company, in one of the Gulf countries, I was stocked. At the time I try to play it cool, but despite that I’m still excited.

How can I use it when I have to say that: I’m stoked when my favorite tv show starts, or I get stoked when my favorite tv show starts.

Thank you in advance

Like a warm fireplace, if you want to see it warming up,you must stoke that ,with good and long-lasting wood  (e. g. from olive trees). Our life is the same,it depends on which one  and how you like to live. Sometimes, you must do the things that leave you “ stoked”, even though, other people don’t approve.

I’m stoked about reading good novels.. Also I feel very stoked to learn French.. And I like watching anime.. I think I’m stoked about alot of things :D

Well, I really can’t say there’s something definite that made me happy most through my life, but of course everything I do that I like makes me happy, comfortable and satisfied. Those I mentioned above are some of them :)
