Do you remember any teachers from school? How about any college professors? A lot of students are passionate about their education and see their professors as role models. Many professors want to motivate their students and set the bar high so that their students can become successful in the future. It is important to have good communication with your professor so that you can get a worthy education.

Some people do not have good relationships with their professors. They may not be passionate about the class, or they may feel let down by the professor’s teaching style. Students want their professors to be excited about teaching. Some students are able to rise to the occasion and do great in a class, but other students may need to try multiple classes before they can connect with their professor.

Jessica and Gary are talking about their college professors. Jessica loved her professors and is telling Gary all about her experience. Find out what Gary thinks in today’s English lesson.

Gary:  When you were in school… college… did you have any professors who just inspired you and got you so passionate about your study that you couldn’t help but go to their class every day?

Jessica:  Oh absolutely. I had quite a few of them, actually. I got a very good education, and I had a lot of role models, and they really set the bar high when it came to their expectations of you as a student.

Gary:  Those are really good teachers.

Jessica:  Yeah, I know I had multiple fantastic professors.

Gary:  You’re kind of lucky.

Jessica:  I know.

Gary:  I was really let down with my experience in college.

Jessica:  Oh, that’s too bad! They didn’t motivate you?

Gary:  No, they didn’t really inspire me. They just kind of talked about their subject. And, I don’t know, they seemed motivated by the clock to get home more than they were trying to motivate the students to get excited about the topics.

Jessica:  It’s unfortunate when you’re paying for a class that the professor doesn’t rise to the occasion and really give you a worthy education.

Gary:  I agree.

Jessica:  Maybe, I’ll become a professor.

Gary:  Oh, really?

Jessica:  Yes.

Jessica is telling Gary about her college professors. She got a worthy education and saw her professors as role models. She tells Gary that they set the bar high and were very passionate about their subjects.

Gary, on the other hand, did not have a good experience. He felt let down by his professors because they were not passionate about their topics. They just taught and wanted to go home, and so for Gary, they were a let down.

Did you have any professors who were role models for you? Were you a passionate student?

Definitely, as Jessica said, professors are the role models for students. What a professor shares will reflect in students. My personal opinion is that a professor should keep friendship with his students in order to evaluate, support, and direct him/her in a successful way towards target. I agree with Gary because we can see such professors in our society only taking classes just for the sake he is professor. And nowadays, it is common to see that a number of professors are serving students in their academic works through custom essay writing service (For example http://www.essayschief.com ) providers on the web. We meet different people in our society and hence the behaviors of the professors might be different. However in my view point, professors should keep their genuineness towards teaching and to guide their students towards success.

I have had many wonderful professors and only a few bad professors. Professors inspire me when they have passion for their topic. Also, I like it when they share how to use new information.

I have always been a passionate learner. Usually, I was a passionate student too. :)

I thought I was a lucky student when those days when I was a student in shool whichever primary or middle or high shool or university.

Because I could always meet good teachers. One hand, as a student, I worked hard to be a good student, on the other hand, as a teacher, they were conscientious and very reponsible.

I knew the successful result was come out the interaction both students and teachers. So, the students who studied hard were more easily to feel the encouragement and motivation from teachers , and more likely to be the preference of teachers , and more likely to get worthy education. The teachers would give more attention and hope to the students who studied hard. This was a circle, cycle.

I thought I was a passionate stutdent and was able to rise to the occasion and did my best in my study.

I also have had a lot of role models who have given me some insight and perspective, but in real terms only one could inspire me.

Thanks a lot for EnglishBaby site .
The having good relationship with professors , It’s one of the important key for becoming student full of motivations rather than to steer clear from school .
But here is a thing that should absorb the students want to educate by their professors no matter is there any mandatory rules or good atmosphere in class !
If there is a good professor who getting good advise and set the bar high to his or her students definitely they are lucky for having worthy education .
Some professors have their own rule that may lose their student , because the students are disappointed an other word letting them down by no inspire , no motivation and no passionate .
