Did you ever have to say good-bye because a friend decided to move? Maybe, it was the end of school, and your friend wanted to move to the States. Or perhaps, this person didn’t want to live in town anymore, and he moved to the country. It’s easy to be happy for someone who is following his heart, but it can be sad to say good-bye. When an important person moves, it’s the end of an era. Life will be different without him.

The end of an era is a time when things change. It is the end of a special period of time. When you finish school or leave a good job, it is the end of an era. You probably have new prospects to think about. When you are at the end of an era, it’s important to celebrate and remember the good times. You can offer a toast to your friends and thank them for their friendship before beginning your new life.

It’s the end of an era for the team from StarScoop.com. Watch these friends celebrate and say good-bye in today’s English lesson.

Brian:  This is crazy. It really is the end of an era.

Gary:  No kidding! Do you two really have to move away?

Romeo:  Dude! You’re the one who’s riding a motorcycle to South America.

Gary:  Yes, but I am coming back.

Brian:  Hopefully.

Jessica:  Do you think Lily will want to move back to the States?

Brian:  I don’t know. We’ll have to see what happens. But I’m open to anything.

Jessica:  I love that you’re following your heart, Brian. I am so happy for you.

Sara_R:  Don’t you have some good news, too?

Jessica:  Yes! Marni has decided not to go back to school. And instead, she’s going to come work for me.

Sara_R:  Excellent! That’s excellent. I’m glad at least you two are staying in town.

Gary:  Have you found a new roommate yet?

Sara_R:  Not yet, but I have a few good prospects.

Romeo:  I was hoping to get my own apartment when I move to New York City, but I think I’m going to have to get a roommate, too. Rent is too expensive.

Brian:  If you think rent in New York is bad, try Paris!

Jessica:  Boo-hoo. “Paris is so expensive! New York is so expensive!”

Sara_R:  I know, right?

Gary:  I’d like to propose a toast. To good friends, new adventures… to the end of an era!

Brian:  To the end of an era!

Sara_R:  To the end of an era!

Romeo:  To the end of an era!

Jessica:  To the end of an era!

Life is changing for the team from StarScoop.com. Gary and Brian are both going to move away from the States. Gary is going to go on an adventure in South America, and Brian is moving to Paris. Romeo has a wonderful new job offer in New York City. He wanted to live alone, but rent is very expensive, so he will need to have a roommate instead.

The ladies from the team are staying in town, but life is changing for them, too. Sara will soon have a new roommate, and Jessica and Marni will be able to work together. Jessica will be president of StarScoop.com, and Marni will help her. Gary offers a toast to his best friends. It’s the end of an era, and the team is following their hearts and building new lives.

When did you experience the end of an era? Do you enjoy new beginnings?

I think beginnings are challenge for everyone. Living is catch-22, some simple and same life is boring. We need some change sometimes.

I want to make a toast – to the new era and never never saying goodbye to friends. A friend can’t be bad or good, he’s your friend- you spent time together, shared, laughed, cried. How can he be bad? So never say goodbye to your friend, you might not find a new one, you know.

an Era ends and another Era begins,

we say for it “LIFE”it has different Eras .. ı dont say ,its easy to leave from important friends, opposite of it, VERY HARD..but life wants from us to go forward,as they said ” show must go”  or “life must go on “

and new Era doesnt mean,we will forget our friends, noo we will remember  them and they will live in our memories .
