Anna: You see any good movies lately?
Jason: Yeah, actually I saw, uh, Finding Nemo last week.
Anna: Isn’t that a cartoon?
Jason: Yeah. It’s a great cartoon.
Anna: Did you like it?
Jason: Loved it.
Anna: What was good?
Jason: Well, I took my four-year-old son to see it, and he loved it. And it’s about a daddy fish who’s raising his little son fish, and they’re best friends, and so it was a great daddy and son movie to see. And then his son got lost, and he went on this big quest to find him.
Anna: And don’t, don’t ruin the ending...
Jason: I won’t ruin the ending.
Anna: ...but, uh, you thought they did a good job with the animation and everything?
Jason: The animation was unbelievable, yeah.
Anna: Now is that Disney?
Jason: It’s Pixar.
Anna: Pixar. Oh, OK.
Jason: Which is a… kinda… Disney bought Pixar, but they’re independent of Disney. They do the cutting edge computer animation.
Anna: Oh, it’s probably going to be good then. Excellent!
Jason: Oh, it’s really good. Yeah. Two thumbs up!

Discussion
This conversation is a good example of how two people who know each other well speak to each other. Both Jason and I speak very quickly, and sometimes one of us starts talking before the other is finished. Hopefully you can understand us! It’s important that you can understand conversations like this, because they’re authentic REAL ENGLISH!
See you at the movies!
Anna
